In the Spring of 2016, North Island College will be running a Field Studies Abroad to Greece.  The Field School theme is "In Search Of Minoan Crete", and we will explore this theme through three courses, worth three credits each:

English 215 (Instructor: Anne Cumming)

Anthropology 293 (Instructor: Jim Anderson)

History 205 (Instructor: Dan Hinman-Smith)

The Field School will run from May 2nd through May 27th, 2016, and will be held on the island of Crete, Greece.  We will be staying in three different accommodations while on Crete (Chania, 8 night; Archanes, 9 nights; Ierepetra, 9 nights), in the west, centre, and east sides of the island.  The cost of the trip -- approximately $3600 -- covers tuition, accommodation, entrance fees, and transportation on Crete.  It does not include either the return flight to Crete or food while there.

To register for the Field School, you should go to the Campus Registration office nearest to you, pay the $300 non-refundable deposit, and sign up for the three relevant courses.  Registration is now open and will continue until the Field School cap of 21 students is reached.
