Cinque Terre (Five Lands) is associated with the Italian national park system and consists of five towns: Monterosso at Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Monterosso is the largest (1800 people). Vernazza is judged by many to be the nicest. Corniglia is the smallest and most remote. It is a 20-minute walk from Manarola to Riomaggiore. Riomaggiore has the easiest road access and is the most crowded.
